WHY SHOULD YOU FACT CHECK?

Researching on the internet during the age of alternative facts requires careful attention and constant skepticism. With so many different options, it can be difficult to tell immediately if you should trust the source you are reading.

We need to take extra precautions to determine the trustworthiness of a source by asking ourselves some questions every time we scroll through social media or sit down to investigate a topic. To avoid misinformation or “alternative facts” and to stay better informed, use this fact checking guide developed by SCU students, for SCU students.
